Jim Brackett - District 1
Jim Brackett has been a VVEC member since 1973 and has been on the board as a trustee since 2010.
He and his wife, Pam, live in the South Coffeyville area where they have a cow-calf operation. Brackett worked for VVEC and retired after a 33-year career. They have four children and numerous grandkids.
“I appreciate the opportunity to serve as a board trustee and represent the members of District 1,” he says.
Jack Bogart - District 2
Jack Bogart - District 2
Jack and his wife Patti have been members of VVEC since 1980, and live in Oologah. They have two sons and one daughter and are grandparents.
He was elected to the board in 1997, and has since received certification as a cooperative director from the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association which he earned after completing the required number of continuing education classes offered to board trustees, and has also earned his ‘Board Leadership’ certification.
“Serving on the board of trustees is a privilege,” says Bogart. “I have enjoyed learning about the electric utility business and the cooperative method of doing business. I am amazed at how much joint effort and coordination it takes just to turn on a light switch.”
John Brogan - District 3

John was appointed to the Board in December 2024, filling the District 3 vacancy created by the passing of long‑time Trustee Vernon Lewis.
Originally from Indiana, John moved to Oklahoma with his family at age thirteen. After graduating from Union High School, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy Construction Battalion — the Seabees — proudly serving from 1989 to 1999. During his time in the Navy Reserve, John attended Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Durant, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation Maintenance. He also worked for American Airlines for more that 14 years before becoming an owner and agent with R&B Insurance Solutions.
John and his wife, Kim, are the proud parents of three daughters. Much of their free time is spent at softball and cheer events, but when they manage a weekend off, the family enjoys camping together.
With more than a year of experience on the board of trustees, John has gained an understanding of cooperative operations and remains committed to continued growth. “I appreciate this opportunity and will always do my best to serve the members of District 3”.
John Hibdon - District 4

John and Cecilia Hibdon live in Barnsdall and have been VVEC members since 1982. They have two grown children who have blessed them with grandkids.
“I am a CPA and have owned my own insurance and accounting business in Barnsdall since 1981,” he says. “In my spare time I like to fish and play golf.”
John has attained certified cooperative director status from the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association which he earned after completing the required number of continuing education classes offered to board trustees, and has also earned his ‘Board Leadership’ certification. He also serves as the VVEC representative to the board of directors for KAMO Power, VVEC’s wholesale power supplier.
“I was honored when the members in District 4 elected me to the board in 1997 and I strive to represent them well as I help make decisions that affect their lives.”
Jimmy Lambert - District 5
Jimmy Lambert - District 5
Jimmy Lambert has represented the members of District 5 since May 2008. He has been a member of VVEC since 1995.
A graduate of Owasso High School, Lambert is a former Collinsville Firefighter and for 38 years, he along with his brother, owned Lambert’s Auto Salvage in Collinsville. He is currently the owner and operator of Lambert Property Service.
He and his wife Gaye live in Tiawah. They have five sons together and six grandchildren. Gaye owns and operates Uptown Salon in Owasso.
Dennis Lenox - District 6
Dennis Lenox - District 6
Dennis and Sherry Lenox have been members of VVEC for more than 30 years. They live in the Skiatook Lake area and have a son and a daughter. They are also proud grandparents.
“I love living in rural America,” says Lenox, who is the retired vice-president of American Bank of Oklahoma in Skiatook. “Having been in the banking business, I've met a lot of people. When they have questions about the co-op, as a trustee, I'm usually able to answer those questions. If not, I can call someone at VVEC who can give me the answer so I can call the member back."

Chuck Huerter - District 7
Chuck Huerter - District 7
Chuck holds an associate degree in electronics; a bachelor degree in personnel administration and has 20 years experience with Phillips Petroleum. He owned a small business in the health care industry for 15 years before retiring.
He has represented district 7 since 1985, watching the district grow to more than 2,600 members. Chuck holds certified director status from the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA), which he earned after completing the required number of continuing education classes offered to board trustees, and has also earned his ‘Board Leadership’ certification.
He is an avid bicycling enthusiast, and has ridden in Oklahoma FreeWheel, a cross state bicycle tour.
He is an active member of the Bartlesville community. Chuck has 3 children and 7 grandchildren.
Ken Howard - District 8
Ken Howard - District 8
Ken is a production supervisor with American Airlines, where he has worked since 1998. Prior to beginning his career with American Airlines, he owned and operated a local aviation business.
His is a life-long resident of Collinsville where he has lived on VVEC lines, and a graduate of Collinsville High School.
Ken continues his trustee education by attending classes designed for cooperative trustees and has received his certificate in the Credentialed Cooperative Director program sponsored by NRECA.
He has represented the more than 3,200 members in district 8 since his election to the board of trustees in 1992.
He and his wife Dana have three children and are also grandparents. They are active members of the Collinsville First Baptist Church.
Buddy McCarty - District 9
Buddy McCarty - District 9
Buddy was appointed to the board in 1995 to fill the unexpired term of a trustee who was moving, and now represents one of the fastest growing areas in VVEC’s service territory. District 9 has more than 3,400 members.
He is an agent for State Farm Insurance, recently celebrating 32 years with the company.
He and his wife Diana have lived in Owasso for more than 25 years. They both attended Northeastern State University, and Diana is now a real estate agent. Buddy is an involved and active member of the community.
He and Diana have two daughters and two granddaughters and one grandson.
