VVEC COVID-19 RESPONSE
VVEC management is working to keep its employees and members as safe and healthy as possible during the current COVID-19 Pandemic. VVEC has made the following changes to its normal operations:
Effective 3/23/2020: VVEC has closed it's lobby to the Public. VVEC has closed it's warehouse to the public (no wire sales). This will be in effect until further notice.
VVEC is encouraging all members to make their payments online, at a KIOSK or at the night drop located on the east side of our lobby entrance.
VVEC has also suspended meter disconnects for non-payment. The Pre-paid accounts will still get their low balance courtesy calls to alert them of their balance situation, but the meters will not shut off if the balance goes negative. When VVEC returns to normal operations, members that were affected by COVID-19 will be given a payment arrangement extension from 3 – 5 months.
VVEC’s field crews will continue business as usual, however they are being instructed to keep their distance from our members and the general public, for the health and well-being of all.
VVEC is monitoring the situation closely and will make changes to these procedures in accordance to State or Federal recommendations or mandates
